    Michelle is a marketing and communications consultant with more than 20 years experience in for-profit and non-profit industries. Her expertise encompasses strategic communications planning and tactics including brand and message development, writing, video production and social media management.
     
    Her business, Chamber Speak, provides marketing and communications services for chambers of commerce and member associations.
     
    Prior to forming Chamber Speak, Michelle served as vice president of communications for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.  She was responsible for the vision and direction of the Chamber’s award-winning marketing and communications program. In 2012, she led the Chamber’s successful effort to achieve the designation as the American Chamber of Commerce Executives’ 2012 Chamber of the Year.
     
    Formerly she was director of public affairs for the global non-profit, Enactus. She had a 12-year career in television news, where she led a team of 40 journalists at the top-rated NBC affiliate in the United States.
     
    In her personal life, she enjoys traveling to exotic locales and whitewater rafting with her husband, Rob, and a ragtag collection of river bums she calls friends.
     
    Michelle considers herself to be a lifetime learner.  A few years ago, she picked up an electric guitar and joined forces with some friends to form the all-female rock band, According to Nadia.
