All employers require industry comparisons in order to establish and justify appropriate salaries and benefits for their employees and chambers of commerce are no different. Chamber leadership needs current comprehensive and specific information about compensation on the industry and MACE aims to fill that role. Every two years MACE conducts a survey of local chambers of commerce across a seven-state region that deals with compensation, benefits and operations in order to measure current averages as well as new trends.

The survey is distributed to more than 900 chambers via email and has averaged a response rate of approximately 30% over the past several years. Results are presented at the Annual Conference and reports are always available for executives or boards of directors to request.
